Xavier land and walked into the shade, casting no shadow. He looked in disgust at the lush green foliage that lay at his daggers. He looked at the beach awaiting the arrival of the faes that would inevitably crawl to shore. He glanced around for any signs of Leia. If the faes knew nothing of her they would surely go with him. He started to look for a small piece of meet in the rain forest and found a snake to his liking. The snake quickly darted of but was not quick enough for the claw at the edge of Xavier's wing. Xavier ate and then returned to the beach. He used his wing to draw a intricate and sickening pattern in the dirt. It meant nothing to him. It was but a harmless doodle. But yo the casual observer it would seem like he had spent hours on it. Xavier quickly dashed the drawing, thinking of the reactions of the other equines. What would they think if the dark king had waited for the faes. It was true, of course, but no one had to know. It would be one of the many secrets Xavier kept, never to be whispered by his lips or heard by other's ears. He turned his attention back to the shore line and awaited once more for the arrival of the faes.

The fem slipped from the sky to the ground in one swift movement, wings disappearing, blending into her white flesh. She shook gently, gazing at the shore. She stiffened when she spotted Xavier. Her heart stopped, every muscle in her body stiffened and froze. The fear he caused her was unimaginable, but she did not show it. Her facade remained bright and cheerful as always. She snorted and walked calmly up to the great brute. He was at least 5 times the size of her. She shivered as a cold chill ran through her body, quickly scanning it for fear. She could tell he could smell her fear. She looked up at him, expression blissful and peaceful.
"We meet again ... Xavier."
She said softly, looking at his forhead. She dared not look into the piercing stare of the giant brute. It was a hipnotizing glare. It would surely take her over and kill her and the other blessed ones. She read his mind to an extent. He was looking for faes. He was secretive about it. She wondered why ...

Xavier watched as the fae approached. He stood over her.
Oh, but we've met so many time before, what makes this one so special.
Xavier said in a barely audible whisper. At his last word's. Xavier's head turned slightly, his face unreadable of an equine emotions. He awaited the response of the light fae. He scanned her features looking for fear but saw none. His auds were perked forward, awaiting her response. He heard the crashing of the waves and the noise of a small critter scurrying quite closely in the brush nearby.

Auds flicked back at the noise in the bushes. Most likely a squirrel, but she was alert anyways just in case it was one of Xavier's traps. Her second aud focussed on Xavier. She was always cautious, always thought before she moved or spoke around Xavier because the slightest false move could kill you. Xavier was no dummy. He knew what he was doing. Just being around him made her nervous. She snorted and tossed her dial gently, chocolate brown orbs gazing softly at the devil before her.
"Anytime meeting with you is a special treat Xavier."
She said with a slight edge of sarcasm to her voice. She quickly covered it and began again, kissers parting:
"May I ask what you are doing by the shores of the ocean?"
She asked with a fake curiousity. She knew perfectly well what he was doing here. He was trying to claim faes, convert them to his side, threaten them, rape them, kill them, anything to make sure he had an heir of his on the dark side. She thought his methods were sick and unnessecary. She despised the black menace with all the hatred her blessed heart allowed her to use upon him.

He smirked slightly at her remarks. She would make a good prisoner when he won the inevitable war.
"I'm flattered"
He replied in that same whisper at her first remark.
"I heard the tde was low. I'm surprised you don't know."
Xavier knew that she had an idea aobut the faes and that's why she resided here.
"I thought that word got around fast among the jittering of the lights."
Xavier knew there was rumor among the lights that the darks were silent and she decided to play on that rumor.

She glanced calmly at the stag. Her focus had gone all to him, no longer was it on her surroundings. His insults to her followers angered her, but she did not feel she could express her anger through violence or facial expression. She did not even think she possessed the will to scream or yell at the demon. Instead she stepped forward and calmly replied:
"Word travels fast around my lands because unlike your followers, mine sick together and they help each other survive. Your followers will surely die from their insane sense of pride. Always having to be different, evil, and independent. They can't even work together to save their own race."
She said smoothly, not stuttering or pausing once. She had planned out what she would say many moons ago. She stood up to him bravely, getting out what she wanted to say then, giving a satisfied shiver of her wings, she turned to fly then paused and turned back to him.
"It would be wise that you not steal my faes for my light will surely win their hearts, and they will come to my lands faster than you can kill a weak and defenseless foal."
And with that, she turned and swiftly flew into the sky, wings shivering letting out dust from being unfolded for so long. She flew fast away from the stag. She knew she must go quickly before he could catch her. She would watch from her perch in the clouds, watch over her faes, protect them, make sure he couldn't touch them. She feared she had beenn a coward for not sticking up to Xavier, but she supposed if she let her foolish pride get in the way of everything, she would soil the meaning of being light. To always do the right thing, help your neighbors, and don't be afraid to be helped in return. Lights stuck together that's what made the strong. Darks only had their power and muscles while lights had brains and communication. That defeats power and brawn any day.

Xavier glared at her. He whispered although he was confident she could hear.
"How do expect the lights to come if you are not here to guide them? I always thought of the lights as dependent upon each other, as you just said. If they have no leader, they will crumble and your populations will slip from you like water through straw. And we all know that I'm attracted to water."
He concluded with a small sinister laugh.
